Greendale Competes in America in Bloom Again!
If you haven't already heard...Greendale is competing in America in Bloom again in 2009!
America in Bloom is a friendly competition that promotes community involvement while improving aesthetics and quality of life. Greendale will be judged in municipal, commercial and private/residential sectors in eight main categories: environmental awareness, urban forestry, floral displays, landscaped areas, tidiness, turf and groundcover, heritage preservation and community involvement.
In 2008 Greendale championed over 29 other communities to receive the national urban forestry criteria award, earned the highest scores in our population category and was one of the overall highest-rated participants of 2008!
Come join us again this year and be part of the buzz of America in Bloom!!
